ACAUK Athletics Coaches' Association of the UK

Welcome to the ACAUK's landing page for the "Sports Coach" web site. "Sports Coach" was launched back in 1996 with the aim of providing information and assistance for athletic coaches. The site is now regularly visited (approx 25,000 visitors/day) by coaches and athletes from all sports as well as teachers and students teaching/studying sport related qualifications.

In 2003, "Sports Coach" was approached by Mike Winch to see if it would consider being an on-line resource centre for the members of the ACAUK. Bearing in mind Brian's original objectives of assisting coaches and athletes, he was more than pleased to be associated with the ACAUK.

The webmaster, Brian Mackenzie, is a UK Athletics level 4 Performance Coach and Tutor Assessor. He coaches sprints, middle distance and combined event athletes at the Chelmsford Athletic Club. Brian is also a member of the Athletics Coaches' Association of the UK (ACAUK), British Milers Club (BMC) and the Road Runners Club (RRC). For more information on Brian's athletic & coaching background, visit the Web Master page.

Finding Information

Sports Coach has over 900 pages, so to find out what information is available I recommend you go to the A»Z Page Index. For information on a specific topic, try the Google Search "Search Sports Coach" facility on the left hand side of every page.

Each page contains a Help section from where you can email Brian to obtain further advice. You can also select the Contact the Coach link at the top of the screen.

Coaches Corner

The Coaches Corner page contains a list of sports coaches, world wide, who are willing to provide coaching and training advice to other coaches. The list enables coaches, via email, to network with one another in order to seek advice and exchange ideas. Please register and join the ever growing list of sports coaches.

At the present time the web site does not address all track and field events. With your help this limitation can be addressed.
